TABEA

Mobile test bench for electron beam-based development technologies

Delivery of the TABEA container at the research complex for »Resource-Saving Energy Technologies« (RESET) of the Fraunhofer Institutes Center Dresden in November 2022.

As a strategic investment of Fraunhofer FEP, the mobile test plant TABEA was realized with the company CREAVAC for the cleaning of exhaust gases and wastewaters as well as for plasma-chemical PtX synthesis processes based on various electron beam technologies.

Goals

  • Local studies and research at the customer's or project partner's site
  • Electron beam exhaust gas purification (removal of NOx, SOx, VOC, ...)
  • Electron beam wastewater treatment (e.g. removal of medical substances)
  • Plasmachemical processes (power to liquid, to chem, to gas...)

Technologies

  • Non-thermal low-energy electron beam effects (so far < 150 keV)
  • Electron beam enhanced pulsed atmospheric plasmas
